True Worship

Today we have two prayers that draw their inspiration from Deuteronomy Chapter Twelve. Click  Deuteronomy 12 to read chapter.

First Prayer
Almighty Father, You are holy and demand worship that is holy. We cannot approach and worship You any other way than through Jesus Christ. It is only through His sacrifice on the altar of the Cross that we are holy and only by Christ righteousness in us that we are accepted. Please receive our prayers, praises and thanksgivings we offer to You in Jesus Christ Name. Amen

Second Prayer
Holy Spirit,  You are our Counselor and Teacher. Lead us away from idolatry and help us to discern and recognize false doctrines and teachings that lead us away from our Lord Jesus Christ. Expose and tear down idols we have built in our hearts and lead us to true worship and prayer. Praise be to You and the Father and Jesus Christ, three persons and One eternal God. Amen.
