A Compassionate Caring Father

I spent some time praying and meditating on the Lord's Prayer in my morning devotion today. After praying the first phrase of the prayer "Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name..." I thought about the fact we refer to God as Father.  When we pray to God, we are not praying to some force or some angry deity ready to strike us down when we sin. Christians pray to a loving Father through Jesus Christ and with the presence of the Holy Spirit with us.  I prayed and wrote down the following prayer.

Lord God, You are a caring compassionate Father. You are not a distant uncaring God but a loving Father who cares about me. Praise be to You!
