Prayer
Holy God, praise belongs to You for choosing a people for Salvation. We were not chosen because of any merits of our own but because of Your love for Your Elect before the foundation of the World. Give us strength to overcome our sins and to smash and destroy all idols our deceitful hearts have built. Work in our hearts by the Holy Spirit a hatred for our own sins. In the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit as One God now and forever. Amen.
